Pueblo County board members approve ballot proposals to fund new jail

The Board of County Commissioners approved two proposals for November's ballots that would impose a public safety improvement tax and raise the Pueblo County special retail marijuana sales tax. These changes would bring in money to pay for a new jail in Pueblo.

Man stabbed in the neck, no suspects arrested

A man is expected to recover from a stab wound in his neck. The Colorado Springs Police Department said the suspect was an unknown white female in her early 20s who stabbed the victim following an argument Tuesday evening.

Dorian weakens to Category 2 as it heads toward the Carolinas

Tropical storm conditions continue along portions of the northeastern coast of Florida as Dorian continues to make its slow trek toward the U.S. It has top sustained winds of 105 mph as a Category 2 hurricane.

Driver charged with vehicular homicide for death of motorcyclist on N Academy

The driver of a pickup truck that hit a motorcyclist from behind Sunday evening and dragged the motorcycle for 600 to 700 feet has been identified by police. CSPD said 34-year-old Shahin S. Taraghi has been charged with DUI and vehicular homicide for the death of 35-year-old Christopher M. Larkin.

Today more of the rain activity will push east of the mountains to the I-25 corridor. Before the rain potential, this afternoon will be warm and summer like with temperatures in the 80s and 90s.
