Colorado Free Application Day waives college application costs for students

Students will have a chance to submit admissions applications for technical schools, community colleges and universities in Colorado at no cost. Students need to submit their completed application between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. There are different instructions students need to follow to get their fees waived depending on the school they are applying to.

Colorado regulators holding hearing Tuesday to finalize ban on certain marijuana vape ingredients

The changes proposed by Colorado’s Marijuana Enforcement Division include banning certain ingredients that some health officials have postulated have caused many of the lung illnesses when they were used in black-market or over-the-counter vape cartridges.

Bright and seasonable Tuesday; warming into mid-week

Temperatures are cooler today than yesterday thanks to a weak cold front that is moving in. Later today will be close to average, back to the 60s for most of southern Colorado. It will be mostly sunny with light to breezy winds.

El Paso County to begin road work on Old Stage Road in less than 1 week

The work on Old Stage Road, west of Hill Drive, will begin at the end of the paved surface on Old Stage Road and proceed southwest for approximately five miles to the Old State Riding Stables. Old Stage Road will be closed intermittently between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday with no detours available.
