Colorado Free Application Day waives college application costs for students

COLORADO — Students will have a chance to submit admissions applications for technical schools, community colleges and universities in Colorado at no cost.

Application fees for numerous schools across the state will have its fees waived Tuesday.

This is part of Colorado Free Application Day that was first introduced last year.

The Colorado Department of Higher Education said students submitted nearly 23,000 applications on Colorado Free Application Day last year.

Students need to submit their completed application between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 15.

The department said any admissions applications that have been started but not submitted will not be given a waiver.

There are different instructions students need to follow to get their fees waived depending on which school they are applying to.
