Fort Carson to conduct prescribed burns through December
If you see smoke along the I-25 and Highway 115 corridors from Colorado Springs to Pueblo, it's most likely prescribed burns Fort Carson is conducting through the end of the month. The post said the burn program is critical in reducing the potential for wildland fires and will only be conducted if weather conditions are favorable.

Holiday light display helping Care and Share Food Bank
As people drive by a home near Barnes and Peterson they'll be able to see the bright lights of a snowman, polar bears, and much more. However, there's also something else they can do - drop off non-perishable food items inside a freezer to benefit Care and Share Food Bank.

Breezy and dry once again in southern Colorado
Another day for gorgeous and dry weather across southern Colorado. We'll see a mix of sunshine and high clouds across the region, with gusty winds throughout the day. Temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than Monday, but still well above normal for this time of year.

Colorado wolf sanctuary to close at end of year
A wolf sanctuary in Colorado will be closing up shop at the end of the month. They provide sanctuary and rehabilitation for wolves and wolfdogs who have suffered from injuries or abuse, and permanent sanctuary for those unable to be released back into the wild.
