EL PASO COUNTY – Around 3:30 p.m. the Cimarron Hills Fire Department reported they were responding to an outside fire in the 12300 block Highway 94.
A News5 crew on scene was told the fire burned between 10 to 12 acres of land and is mostly contained, according to Christy Malone, Deputy Chief of Operations with the Ellicott Fire Protection District.
One home in the area was temporarily evacuated. The nearby Aztez Raceway was able to provide water to assist in containing the fire.
No cause has been determined at this time.
