COLORADO SPRINGS – Staff inside the Academy District 20 admin building in the Chapel Hills area were on a brief lockdown this afternoon.
A spokesperson for the district tells News5, a man entering the building did not follow proper procedures by checking in and getting a name badge.
As he went further into the building, a lockdown was initiated as a precaution because there was police activity nearby. The man was not found during a complete search of the building.
The lockdown only lasted for 15 minutes.
