COLORADO SPRINGS – A Colorado Springs woman is facing several felony charges after a police pursuit landed her and another person in Otero County Jail.

27-year-old April Jaramillo, from Colorado Springs, reportedly stole a car and was headed westbound on Colorado 50 when a State Patrol Trooper began a pursuit around 9:45 a.m. Tuesday.

According to a press release, speeds reached over 95 mph during the pursuit.

About seven miles west of Fowler, Jaramillo drove off the right side of the road and into a ditch but got back on the road, colliding with the patrol car.

The trooper performed a tactical vehicle intervention maneuver, causing the stolen car to spin and come to a stop.

The driver, Jaramillo, and the passenger 31-year-old Isaac Gallegos was taken into custody and booked into the Otero County Jail on multiple felony charges.

No one was injured during the police pursuit.
