PUEBLO – A Code Controlled Access has been activated at St. Mary-Corwin hospital in Pueblo after hospital officials reported receiving a threatening phone call.

A release from the hospital says it took immediate precautionary measures, including calling the Pueblo Police Department, to ensure the safety of workers, patients, and visitors.

Police were on-site at the hospital today to help with security and assess the situation, and the hospital’s security team sanctioned controlled access in and out of buildings. The hospital said controlled access would continue for the day, but hospital and clinic operations would continue.

Further details about the nature of the threat are not available.
