EL PASO COUNTY – A law enforcement raid on Ellicott Highway Tuesday results in the seizure of 758 marijuana plants from an illegal grow operation.

The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, SWAT, and Metro Vice, Narcotics and Intelligence hit the property on the corner of Highway 24 and the 13000 block of Ellicott Highway.

Authorities found cultivation sites in several outbuilding across the property where most plants were in vegetative and flowering stage.  No suspects are under arrest at this time.

According to the sheriff’s office, this is one of the largest busts in the region.

Colorado law allows for the growing of up to 12 plants by a home or property owner for personal use. Anything used for commercial purposes or grown in larger quantities requires licensing with government agencies.
