Around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, police were called to the Shell gas station at 1812 W. U.S. Hwy 50 concerning a carjacking.

When officers arrived, they learned an employee of Pueblo Toyota was filling up his brand new, white, 2019 Toyota Corolla.

According to the victim, a young Hispanic male approached him, pulled out a handgun, and demanded the keys. The suspect hopped in the driver’s seat and a second Hispanic male got in the passenger side.

The two male suspects drove away in the stolen car headed southbound on Morris Ave.

The car was later found, unoccupied, in the 800 block of Pueblo Blvd. next to the Arkansas River.

Police determined the suspects arrived at the Shell station in a stolen 1998 Honda Civic. That car was recovered, processed and returned to the owner.

The suspects were described as 5’7″, one of them has a goatee. The male pictured is the suspect who got in the passenger side of the stolen Toyota Corolla. The firearm the first suspect was carrying was described as a black semi-automatic handgun.

If you have any information about the identity of the suspects or their whereabouts, call the Pueblo Police Department at 719-553-2502. To remain anonymous, contact Pueblo Crime Stoppers at 542-STOP.
