FREMONT COUNTY – Health officials are warning of a Hepatitis-A outbreak in Fremont County.
The health department was notified on March 31 that a third person had tested positive for Hep-A.
People at high risk of exposure in this outbreak include:
- People who are transient or homeless
- People who use injection and non-injection street drugs
- People who live with or have sex with someone who has Hep-A
The next vaccination clinic for those who are considered to be at high risk is scheduled for April 9 at Mercy Today from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Hep-A vaccines are also available at the Fremont County Public Health, a doctor’s office and many retail pharmacies.
