COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Springs Fire Department will hold wildland fire training beginning Monday in the Upper Skyway neighborhood on the west side of the city.
The training is scheduled to happen throughout the month. The training is designed to familiarize firefighters with information about escape routes, water access, firefighter safety and strategies to fight wildland fires.
Crews will be visible in the neighborhood through Saturday. Training exercises will also be held Monday through Wednesday next week and on April 13, 14, 20 and 21.
