Springfield announces finalists for Chief of Police

SPRINGFIELD – The Town of Springfield Board of Trustees has announced on Facebook the two finalists in the running for Chief of Police.

The first finalist is David Dougherty who is currently the police chief in Granada, serving that community since 2008.

Before that, Dougherty worked as acting chief of police for Lamar from 1979 to 2008.

The other finalist is Katrina A. Martin, a current police officer in Springfield.

She has worked there since 2008 and also from 2014 to 2016.

Martin has also worked part-time for the Baca County Sheriff’s Department and served as a part-time police officer in Walsh for a short time in 2014.
