PUEBLO – Medical students in Pueblo are getting more opportunities to perfect their craft.
Pueblo Community College and St. Mary Corwin Medical Center announced they’re expanding several medical programs like nursing, surgical technology, and medical assisting along with each’s corresponding labs.

Nursing student Taylor Bridwell says,”With the aging population, them leaving the workforce and then not having enough people already to fill that having an expanded sim lab, having extra students that are going to be going through it, getting that good hands-on experience, I think it is really going to help out a lot.”

As part of the expansion, both groups will include student housing for people to enroll in Pueblo Community College’s medical programs.
