CSP: ‘Numerous trucks and SUVs’ blown off Highway 285

FAIRPLAY – Colorado State Patrol troopers tweeted that “numerous” trucks and SUVs were blown off of Highway 285 between Trout Creek Pass and Kenosha Pass.

That stretch of Highway runs approximately 54 miles from Jefferson to a little south of Antero Junction. The town of Fairplay is included in this stretch.

CDOT tweeted that northbound lanes are blocked while authorities are working to recover a vehicle about seven miles south of Highway 285 and Highway 9 junction south of Fairplay.

That area is under a high wind warning Wednesday at 11 p.m.
