Pueblo Police looking for person who drove into telephone pole, knocking out power

PUEBLO – The Pueblo Police Department is looking for a person who knocked over a telephone pole Saturday night.

According to the department, officers responded to 800 W. Arroyo around 12:30 a.m. Saturday night. They found that a vehicle had hit a telephone pole, snapping it off at the ground, and leaving it suspended by only the power lines.

The vehicle had left the scene, leaving behind what appeared to be part of a luggage rack. There were no witnesses to the crash.

Power to homes and street lights in the immediate area was knocked out for an undisclosed amount of time. Black Hills Energy responded to the scene and restored power to the area.
