COLORADO SPRINGS – The government shutdown may be over for now, but residents are still feeling the after effects.

That is why the Care and Share Food Bank is partnering with the Broadmoor World Arena to host an emergency food bank in the Broadmoor World Arena this Friday at 2 p.m.

Everyone is welcome. You do not have to be a federal worker in order to receive food and no identification is required.

This food bank is different than the Mobile Food Pantries held in recent weeks. Here is what you need to know:

  • First come, first serve until the food runs out. No one will be served before 2 p.m.
  • Access to the Broadmoor World Arena parking will not open until 1 p.m.
  • Food will be distributed to one household per vehicle
