COLORADO SPRINGS – A Colorado Springs man faces murder charges after a man’s body was found in Pueblo County in November 2018.

Thomas O’Hara, 52, is charged with First Degree Murder in the death of 47-year-old Barney Jenkins. Jenkins’ body was found on Overton Road in North Pueblo County on November 23, and identified by the Pueblo County Coroner.

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office, El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, and Colorado Springs Police Department all worked together at the beginning of this investigation.

Eventually the CSPD Violent Crimes Section took over the investigation.

CSPD arrested O’Hara on January 29, after multiple search warrants were executed in Colorado Springs and in El Paso County. At that time O’Hara was being held at the Criminal Justice Center on unrelated charges.

The case remains under investigation, and anyone with information is asked to call CSPD at (719)444-7000, or call Crime Stoppers at (719)634-STOP or 1-800-222-8477 to remain anonymous.
