Gas leak contained on Printers Parkway at Pikes Peak Avenue

COLORADO SPRINGS – Crews with the Colorado Springs Fire Department were called out to a gas leak at Printers Parkway and Pikes Peak Ave, east of downtown, this afternoon.

Authorities reported a strong smell of natural gas outside, advising anyone who smelled the odor inside their homes or offices to evacuate and call 911.

As of 1:50 p.m., the leak is now clamped and secured.  Authorities warn the smell of natural gas may still be present in the area.
