PUEBLO – The time has come for Pueblo’s Riverwalk to receive its mandatory winter maintenance.
News 5 was there today when a front end loader broke up the ice in the riverwalk for the cleanup.
Daisy Jensen, Operations Manager said removing the debris, silt, and sediments helps in the long run. So, when the warmer months arrive, they can easily control the algae and lake weed growth in the channel.
Workers hope to have the riverwalk filled back up by mid-February.
