PUEBLO – A victim of a car theft will soon have her vehicle back.
Just before 1 a.m. on Sunday, Pueblo Police officers were patrolling a parking lot at a north side hotel.
An officer noticed a car with temporary tags that seemed unusual.
Upon further investigation, the officer realized the tags were fraudulent and questioned the female in the car and called for backup.
Upon arrival, PPD talked with another female inside the hotel who was associated with the same car.
The two women had very different stories about why and how they came into possession of the vehicle, which was reported stolen.
Officers arrested the two females and the victim will soon have her car returned.
