COLORADO SPRINGS – Colorado Springs firefighters say flames first appeared on the upper level of a town home on Bula Dr before spreading into the home and roof.

The small complex is northwest of the intersection of Powers Blvd. and Palmer Park Blvd. The fire started just after 1 p.m.

Everyone was able to get out safely, however now a family of three is without a place to stay for the time being. At last check fire crews were gaining access to the attic to check for any fire extension.

It is unclear how deep the fire went into the building, or if it affected other units. There’s no word on what started the fire.
