DENVER – A Denver area Catholic church is looking for answers after an outdoor nativity scene was demolished late Thursday night or early Friday morning.
Remnants of the nativity scene at Saint Joseph Polish Catholic Church were found scattered in front of the school building Friday morning. The church’s priest said the nativity scene had been on the campus for years without any problems.
The priest also said he’s praying for the vandal and hopes the person finds peace.
“Things like this happen and we have to be aware that the majority are good, but there are some people with problems among us,” said Father Stanislaw Michalek
The church plans to have a live nativity show the first weekend of January, with one show on the 5th and another on the 6th.
