COLORADO SPRINGS – Sears and K-Mart have announced plans to close an additional 80 stores by March. The list includes three stores in Colorado Springs and Pueblo.
CNBC reports the planned closures come amid news the retailer may have to liquidate its entire business. Sears filed for bankruptcy in October, and at the time announced it would close 142 unprofitable stores out of the 700 that remained open.
The local stores closing are:
- 2050 Southgate Road, Colorado Springs
- 1650 Briargate Road, Colorado Springs
- 3201 Dillon Drive, Pueblo
Auto service centers at those stores will also be closing.
Liquidation sales at the closing store are expected to start in two weeks.
