DENVER – The FBI agent who accidentally shot someone after showing off his dance moves at a Denver-metro club will serve 24 months of probation on a charge of third degree assault.

Chase Bishop plead guilty to third degree assault for shooting a man in leg in June.

“We believe that this agreement strikes an appropriate balance of seeking justice for the victim and ensuring that this type of incident does not happen again,” said Denver District Attorney Beth McCann.

As part of the agreement, Bishop will be able to complete his probation while out of state.

Video footage of the incident shows Bishop dancing and making a backflip, but a pistol falls out from the back of his trousers and hit the ground. While picking it up it appears Bishop accidentally pulled the trigger.
