FLORENCE – The Florence police are currently looking into the crash of a stolen car that was involved in a police chase near downtown.
Police say an officer in an unmarked police car was pursuing the stolen car when the suspect crashed in the 100 block of Main Street.
It’s the second chase involving a stolen vehicle that the Florence Police Department has been involved in since Sunday. During the chase on Sunday, 23-year Jeremiah Patton was killed when he hit an embankment on E. 6th Street, was ejected and then pinned under the hood of the stolen car.
No information on the suspect involved in Wednesday’s chase has been released at this time.
