COLORADO SPRINGS – The number of new homes being built in the Colorado Springs area is on the rise. Most of the construction that’s underway this year is for new single-family homes.
The Pikes Peak Regional Building Department says more than 37-hundred new building permits have been issued so far in 2018. That’s at least 200 more than were issued through the end of last year. It’s also the highest number of permits the building department has issued since 2005.
