COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Springs Fire Department and other agencies spent a portion of the morning getting a grass fire under control under the MLK Bypass and I-25.
The fire started just after 6:00 a.m. near the trail and close to Rocky Top Resources. One man-made structure and several trees burned in an area where there is a large homeless presence.
You may see fire officials working on a few hot spots and also investigating exactly how the fire started.
