COLORADO SPRINGS – The Colorado Springs Fire Department said multiple units were damaged in an early-morning apartment fire in the southeast part of the city Thursday.

Firefighters responded to an apartment complex just north of the Valley Hi golf course, near the intersection of Airport and Circle Drive a little after 4:30 a.m.

When they arrived, they found flames burning the first and second floors of the building.

The Red Cross of Colorado and Wyoming said it is helping those displaced from the 8-unit building with food, clothing and shelter.

CSFD has not yet announced what caused it.  No one was hurt.
