Skeletal remains found in rock bed identified

COLORADO SPRINGS – The skeletal remains found in a rock bed off of the 4600 block of S. Academy Blvd. on November 3rd, are now identified.

Police were sent to the area at about 9:15 a.m. that morning in reference to a suspicious incident. When officers arrived, they found the remains in a rock bed.  A cell phone, gym bag, and a hoodie jacket were nearby.

The victim is identified as 55-year old James L. Suggs. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office says there is no indication of trauma or foul play.

The cause and manner of death will be determined by the Coroner’s Office once they have received all the information to make a ruling.
