Several business robbed early Monday morning

COLORADO SPRINGS – A rash of burglaries took place in the early hours of Monday morning. The robberies started before 2:00 a.m. and continued until about 5:00 a.m.

The first burglary happened on Rockrimmon just west of I-25 at a business there.  Police say two or three people walked into the business and pointed a gun at the clerk. They took an undisclosed amount of money and some merchandise before they left. The suspects were last seen wearing hoodies and masks. The clerk was not injured.

A short time later, police were called to a convenience store in the 3700 block of Randall Drive for another robbery involving a weapon. One suspect held the employee at gunpoint while they demanded money from the register. The store clerk there was not injured as well.

The last robbery happened at a little before 5:00 a.m. at a Baskin Robbins at 1534 N. Circle Drive. Three suspects smashed in the window of the ice cream store and took the cash register and coin safe. They were seen leaving the area in a white vehicle.
