PUEBLO – A homeless woman is in the hospital with numerous injuries after she fell asleep in front of a garage at a home in the 400 block of west 13th.
A little before 11:00 p.m., the homeowner pulled into her driveway to go into the garage when she felt a bump and then heard someone screaming for help. The woman hadn’t seen the homeless person sleeping in front of her garage door and she ran her over.
The woman was still under the car when police and paramedics arrived. The full extent of her injuries is unknown at this time, though she reportedly has severe burns from the car’s undercarriage.
The driver’s name has not been released and she was not cited for the accident.
