LA JUNTA – An 82-year old woman and her 90-year old husband are in serious condition Sunday morning after she lost control of her on Highway 50 just east of La Junta.
A 2005 Lincoln Town Car being driven by Helen McClure of La Junta, was headed westbound on Hwy 50 when the vehicle ran off the right side of the road struck a delineator post. The car then swerved left then back to the right before rolling over.
The driver and the passenger, 90-year-old Don McClure, were both taken to the hospital. Neither of them were wearing a seatbelt when the accident happened.
The crash is currently under investigation by the Colorado State Patrol. Alcohol and drug are not being considered as factors in the crash.
The Colorado State Patrol would like to remind drivers to always buckle up.
