COLORADO SPRINGS – Just before 10 a.m. Sunday morning, CSFD units responded to 5521 N. Buckskin Pass Dr. on a reported residential structure fire.
CSFD said when crews arrived they found a deck fire that was transitioning into the residence.
The residents of the home were awoken by a smoke alarm and were able to exit the residence without injury.
Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire before the entirety of the home was engulfed by the flames.
CSFD said that after the fire was extinguished, Red Cross personell were en route to the home to assist the residents with any help they needed.
