COLORADO SPRINGS – You may notice quite a bit of police activity in the 2700 block of Flintridge Circle Sunday morning. The home is located just off of Austin Bluffs Pkwy. and Union Blvd.
One man was shot and taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries. Colorado Springs Lt. Howard Black is calling an attempted burglary in a home and now it’s an active homicide investigation. The shooting happened at about 8:25 p.m. Saturday night. No other injuries are being reported.
The Violent Crimes Unit was called to the home and they were expected to be there through the early morning. Avoid the area if at all possible.
Police have not released any information on who was shot or the names of anyone else involved inside the home at this time.
