WOODLAND PARK – A secure perimeter has been lifted at Woodland Park school Wednesday afternoon.

Campuses in the Woodland Park Re-2 school district were on a secure perimeter as of 10:45 a.m. due to a threat in the community.

Officials said the threat is not to the school but to a business in the community. The secured perimeter is a precautionary measure, classes are being conducted as usual.

This includes Gateway Elementary, Columbine Elementary, Summit Elementary, Woodland Park Middle School, and Woodland Park High School.

The school district said the safety of students and staff remains a top priority.
