PUEBLO – The Pueblo City Council is looking for a way to add over $4-million-dollars to the public transit budget. The city would like to extend its evening bus service until 9:30 p.m. Right now, buses stop running at 6:30 p.m.
Officials from Pueblo Transit say it will help people who work evening jobs and even provide an option for people who need to get to public meetings and school functions that happen after 6:30 p.m.
The city council is on board with the idea, but the problem is coming up with the money to fund the added services. They’re hoping to work it into the budget next year or the year after that.
