Pueblo Police named 38-year-old Lupe Flores as a person of interest in the homicide of a 64-year-old man.

PUEBLO – The woman wanted for questioning about the homicide of a man on Pueblo’s northside was arrested Friday night when she crashed into a home on Abriendo Avenue.

38-year-old Lupe Flores is accused of driving while under the influence at the time of the crash.  She’s also charged with robbery for a carjacking on Solar Drive, plus theft and criminal mischief for an incident on W. Northern Ave.  Police say all of the incidents happened on Friday.

Investigators had named her as a person of interest on the same day as they uncovered more information in the killing of 64-year-old Parvez Daruwala earlier in the week inside his home in the Eagleridge neighborhood.

Police did not elaborate on a possible connection between Daruwala and Flores. They also did not share how he died or any circumstances leading up to his death.

Flores is a Rocky Ford native. Police have not charged her with any crimes related to Daruwala’s death.   The investigation into the case continues.
