EL PASO COUNTY – Alcohol is considered a factor in an overnight crash that killed a motorcycle rider in El Paso County.

Colorado State Troopers said a 23-year-old man was riding a Harley the wrong way in the southbound lanes of Highway 21, just south of Grinnell Blvd. The crash happened just after midnight Friday morning.

The unidentified man lost control of the bike and rolled into the median.

He was thrown from the bike and pronounced dead on scene. The man was not wearing a helmet. Troopers said they suspect alcohol as a factor.

The investigation is ongoing.
