COLORADO – There is a campaign underway to show all the transportation needs across the state. “Recently identified $6 billion of unmet needs in the state of Colorado,” said Colorado Department of Transportation Spokeswoman, Michelle Peulan.

More than talking estimated cost, the Colorado Department of Transportation has launched a campaign called Together we Go. There are on-line links mapping projects and how much they will cost.

More than a wish list, the projects across the state are considered needs. “There are really 90 major projects that need to be done throughout the state to get us caught up, said Peulan.”

There is a big divide between what the state needs done and funding. $6 billion for needed projects, only $1.6 billion is CDOT’s yearly budget. 70% of that goes to maintenance of current roads.
