CAÑON CITY — Rural veterinary services are staying busy as the COVID-19 pandemic continues.

At Fourmile Veterinary Clinic in Cañon City workers on average have taken care of 60 animals a day for the past two weeks.

And this group doesn't only care for cats and dogs. They also provide health services for cows, horses, pigs, and other livestock.

"Oh I think it gives them even greater satisfaction to know that through challenging times they can continue to make sure that all these little guys are well taken care of," said Fourmile practice manager Barbara Berge.

To keep up with current rules, the clinic is offering curbside services during the pandemic.
