Today’s Forecast:

A great start to the weekend is in store for Southern Colorado!  Mostly sunny this morning turning to partly cloudy this afternoon with highs in the upper 60s to near 70.  There is a slight chance of showers and a thunderstorm by the afternoon, but it will come to an end after sunset.  The chance for storms increases the farther south you travel to the NM border.

COLORADO SPRINGS: High – 70; Low – 45. Sunny skies with afternoon clouds, slight chance of a thunder shower.

PUEBLO: High – 77; Low – 48.  Mostly sunny skies with light winds and chance for a late day shower.

CANON CITY: High – 76; Low – 49. Mostly sunny and warm!

WOODLAND PARK: High – 62; Low – 39. Partly cloudy skies with slight chance for a late day shower.

TRI-LAKES: High – 60s; Low – 40s. Sunny skies with afternoon clouds, light and warm temperatures.

PLAINS: High – 70s; Low – 40s. Mostly sunny skies with a slight chance for a late day shower.

WALSENBURG/TRINIDAD: High – 70s; Low – 40s. Increasing clouds with a chance for an afternoon thunderstorm.

EXTENDED OUTLOOK:

Any showers and storms that do develop today will die off tonight and skies will go partly cloudy with mild temperatures.  Overnight lows in the 40s and 50s.  Sunday will bring warmer temperatures on the back of warmer southwest winds.  Increasing clouds with another chance for showers and thunderstorms late.  Highs in the mid 70s to lower 80s out on the Plains.

Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday will bring a series of disturbances to Colorado.  Clouds, rain, and yes – even snow is possible all three days.  Although the snow will be primarily along and north of the Palmer Divide, northern Colorado Springs may see a mix on Monday and Tuesday morning.  Enjoy the weekend because changes are coming!
