The latest movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Avengers: Endgame” is in theaters now and it’s already breaking box office records.

The film’s release also signals the start of the summer movie season, a time of year filled with superheroes, sequels, and more.

Other summer superhero fare includes a working vacation for Spider-Man in July, a new “X-Men” origin story in “Dark Phoenix,” and an even darker look at living with superpowers in “Brightburn.

But it’s not all about action.

Disney has two live-action remakes of animated classics with “Aladdin” and “The Lion King.”

Another classic rock biopic premieres with Taron Egerton starring as Elton John in “Rocketman.” The Manson Murders get the Tarantino treatment in “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”

And 1980s horror returns with a digital upgrade in “Child’s Play.”
