Police in Georgia arrest suspect in hit and run

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. – Police in Georgia have arrested a suspect days after ajaw-dropping hit and run crash captured on video.

The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office arrested 28-year-old Gabriel Fordham of Lithonia, Ga. in connection to the crash.

Authorities say Fordham was behind the wheel when a car jumped the curb and slammed into a home where 9-year-old Laderihanna Holmes was playing with a friend. Miraculously, Holmes survived the crash and was taken to the hospital for a fractured skull and broken pelvis. Her friend suffered a foot injury.

Surveillance video showed the driver the vehicle run away from the scene after the crash. Fordham is facing a long list of charges including reckless driving, hit-and-run, and serious injury by vehicle.
