A New Jersey church got the perfect Christmas gift, decades later, but still somehow just in time.

A Baby Jesus statue was stolen from the nativity at Our Lady of Grace Church in Hoboken in the 1930s.

And now it’s back home, where it was able to lie in its manger for the first time in nearly 90 years.

Churchgoers say there are no hard feelings; they’re just glad the statue was returned.

“Absolutely. Absolutely, we forgive them and this is really something special that baby Jesus came back,” said Ignatious Camporeale with the church.

The statue was returned anonymously and the family behind the theft even sent letters saying they never meant any harm.
