It’s all about Christmas!

Forecast: A Polar Front passed through this morning, dropping temps for awhile, but flurries are ending, and clouds will clear out tonight, with High Pressure (weak as it is) moving across Sunday, keep skies pretty clear until near sunset. A PAC Northwest storm moves far north into southern Canada, but some clouds move in Sunday evening and Monday, but worst case is a few flurries Monday, especially the Peaks.

It is Tuesday Night through early Saturday that will be garnering attention. A new storm in the Pacific will dive south into Arizona and New Mexico. The computer guidance we use seems set on it growing far and wide, and vertically too. (vertical development is a sure sign of a big storm. Not all vertical development=big storms, but all big storms have vertical development.) At this point, I feel confident that snow enough to shovel, begins very late Tuesday evening, and goes through all day Wednesday, into Thursday morning. It peters out a bit for awhile, but appears to restart with a secondary storm forming behind the first, so more bursts of accumulating snow may occur Friday all day, winding down Saturday morning.

So, I hope you get a snow-blower for Christmas, because it may get put to immediate use!
