The Salvation Army needs your help to ring in the holiday season! The organization desperately needs bell ringers for this years Christmas Kettle Campaign.

We caught up with one bell ringer about why giving back this holiday season is so important.

Brian Nance has seen the impact the Salvation Army has first hand.

“Since I’ve set foot in Colorado Springs, The Salvation Army has been helping me along the way,” explained Nance, “so may as well give back.”

Brian is an Army veteran, who recently moved to Colorado Springs from Georgia staying first at the Salvation Army shelter before moving into transitional housing. When he heard the Salvation Army needed bell ringers, he was all too willing to lend a hand.

“It makes me feel good to know that the community is out there still giving,” added Nance.

Brian says it’s a feeling he wants to pass along.

“It does make you feel good. It really does,” said Nance. “Just knowing how many people you can actually see with care in their hearts giving money.”

Plus, he’s got some advice for any future bell ringers!

“Dress warm!” said Nance.
