Millions are bracing for what could be another difficult night across the Southeast. A winter storm has crippled communities from Texas through Virginia, claiming at least three lives.

While the snow and ice has stopped falling, the problems are far from over. More than a foot of snow fell in some areas, tearing apart trees, pulling down power lines and leaving hundreds of thousands in the cold with no electricity.

Roads are more like slip-and-slides, leaving drivers stuck or stranded. Thousands of flights have been canceled or delayed.

Freezing temperatures are expected to set in overnight, turning snow that’s melted into ice and making roads extremely treacherous ahead of Tuesday’s morning commute.
