LIMON- Limon Correctional Facility placed on lockdown Thursday night after an officer was attacked.
The correctional officer was assaulted by an inmate with a sharpened weapon.
The staff member was examined by medical personnel before being taken to the hospital.
The condition of the officer has not been released.
The facility was placed on lockdown immediately after the attack and will remain that way until further notice.
