PUEBLO – On Sunday, Nov. 4th just before 11:30 p.m., officers from the Pueblo Police Department responded to the intersection of Lincoln Ave. and Veta Ave. for a single vehicle crash.
Pueblo PD said officers were able to determine a 2002 Ford pickup truck lost control at the intersection of Lincoln and Veta and hit two utility poles. The vehicle then rolled several times before coming to a stop in the backyard of a residence near the intersection of W. Adams and Lincoln Ave.
PD said the driver was a 23-year-old male who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver’s identity is being withheld until family can be notified. PD said the driver was driving on a revoked license and was not wearing a seatbelt.
Alcohol and excessive speed are believed to be factors in the crash.
